Bedrulanka 2012, which was originally supposed to release sometime during March 2023, is now going to hit the theatres on August 25. The makers of the film made this announcement on Friday. Taking to social media, the film’s team wrote, “Get ready to face the biggest hoax ever in Bedrulanka 2012. The dramedy entertainer of the season is all set for a grand theatrical release on 25th August.” 

Bedrulanka 2012 is a comedy revolving around the 2012 doomsday prophecy hoax. The film is set in a village named Bedrulanka on the Godavari coast. Karthikeya Gummakonda and Neha Shetty are the male and female leads of the film, with Ajay Ghosh, Satya, Raj Kumar Kasireddy, Srikanth Ayyengar, 'Auto' Ram Prasad, Goparaju Ramana, LB Sriram, Surabhi Prabhavathi, Kittayya, Anithanath and Divya Narni essaying supporting roles. The film is directed by debut director Clax and produced by Ravindra Benerjee Muppineni under the banner Loukya Entertainments. 

Mani Sharma is the music director of Bedrulanka 2012, with cinematography by Sai Prakash Ummadisingu and Sunny Kurapati, editing by Viplav Nyshadam and production design by Sudheer Macherla. Bedrulanka 2012 will be releasing on the same day as the Varun Tej starrer Gandheevadhari Arjuna.
