On Wednesday, actor and producer Niharika Konidela took to Instagram to announce her separation from her husband, Chaitanya Jonnalagadda. 

On the social media platform, she wrote, "Chaitanya and I have decided to mutually part ways and ask for kindness and sensitivity as we move on. Thank you to my family and friends who have been pillars of support. I request some privacy for us to navigate this new normal in private. Thank you for understanding."

Niharika and Chaitanya got married on December 9, 2020, at a destination wedding in Udaipur. Niharika is the daughter of actor Naga Babu, sister of actor Varun Tej and the niece of actors Pawan Kalyan and Chiranjeevi. 

The actor made her acting debut with the 2016 film Oke Manasu, and followed that up with appearances in films like Happy Wedding (2018), Suryakantham (2019) and the Tamil film Oru Nalla Naal Oru Paathu Solren (2018). She has also been featured in web series like Naanna Koochi (2018) and more recently, Dead Pixels. She has also produced web series like Hello World and Oka Chinna Family Story under her banner Pink Elephant Pictures.
