Chiming in ahead of the big oscar nominations reveal this evening, Variance Pictures, who have distributed RRR in the US have announced today that they are planning to re-release RRR this February, in lieu of the Oscars season, irrespective of whether RRR gets nominated or not for the Academy awards. 

In a series of tweets published from their official handle, Variance Pictures expressed their joy and gratitude at the positive responses RRR has garnered in North America amongst filmgoers. Thanking the team of RRR, including SS Karthikeya, the line producer, MM Keeravani, the music director and SS Rajamouli, the film’s director, Variance has declared that while working on RRR has been a career highlight, they are “not done” yet. 

Variance Pictures continued saying, “Whether it gets all the nominations or none of them tomorrow, we're bringing RRR back out nationwide to theatres this February.  No shade to Netflix but while it's great anytime, it's what movie theatres were built for, so back to the theatres we go.” 

Giving shout-outs to the Walls and Trends team and the Raftaar Creations, who have been associated with RRR as marketers and distributors respectively.
