Actor Ravi Janghu, who has appeared in Assamese, Hindi and Haryanvi films, will be headlining a Telugu film titled Chadharangam. The film is based on the life of politician Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga from Andhra Pradesh.

Rajesh Putra will produce and direct the film. Speaking about the film, Ravi shares, "I got this film because the director felt that I have a similar personality to Vangavetti, be it his looks, his height and his body structure but that was the easiest part. I did my own research and home-work. Also, I visited Vijayawada and stayed there. I met his friends and the people that knew him personally. We spoke to Vangavetti’s son, Krishna, too."

The makers of the film are yet to announce further details like other cast and crew and the release date of the film.

Interestingly, Ram Gopal Varma directed a film titled Vangaveeti, also based on the life of  Vangavetti Mohana Ranga Rao in 2016.
