SS Rajamouli's epic saga, RRR is continuing to do well at the Japan box office. Recently, the makers revealed that the film starring Ram Charan and Jr NTR grossed 505M JPY, equating to Rs 31.45 crores in 80 days of its release. Meanwhile, RRR is considered to be one of the highest-grosser in India. And in Japan, RRR bet the Rajinikanth-starrer Tamil film Muthu, which reigned supreme as the highest-grossing Indian film for nearly 24 years in Japan.

The makers also added that the footfall for RRR in Japan is 3,34,063 in 80 days. It may be noted that Rajamouli's Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017), 3 Idiots (2009), English Vinglish (2021), PadMan (2018), and Dangal (2016) are among other top-grossing films in Japan.

Produced by DVV Entertainment,  RRR is a fictional story that revolves around two real-life Indian revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju (Charan) and Komaram Bheem (Jr NTR), and their fight against the British Raj.
