Adivi Sesh's Goodachari 2 first look is out

The first look of Goodachari 2, stylized as G2, was launched Monday in Mumbai, marking the franchise’s entry into Hindi cinema. A launch event for the Telugu market is scheduled on January 11.

Riding high on the successes of Major and Karthikeya 2, actor-screenwriter Adivi Sesh joins hands with TG Vishwa Prasad and Abhishek Agarwal of People Media Factory and Abhishek Agarwal Arts to create the sequel of Goodachari, the 2018 espionage drama that earned both critical acclaim and commercial success in the box office.

While Goodachari was directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, G2 will be directed by Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi. He earlier worked as the assistant director of Goodachari and editor of Major. Adivi Sesh, the lead actor in the franchise, will also serve as its screenwriter.

The pre-vision video of G2 announces its key collaborators and presents some shots from its predecessor, especially its epilogue portions in the alps, before leading us all to the first look - where we see Sesh in a suit shooting people with a gun while falling off a building a la James Bond. While Goodachari was entirely shot in India, the sequel is all set to take place internationally. The budget and scale of G2 is billed to be much higher than Goodachari. The film will start shooting sometime this year.
