Teaser of #MenToo is out

Abhilasha Cherukuri

The teaser of #MenToo was released across social media platforms on Monday. The teaser was launched by actor Sharwanand.

Directed by Srikanth G Reddy, the film’s title, which employs wordplay to #MeToo, comes with the taglines ‘Being a man is not easy’ and ‘Witness the Men-tertainment.’

The teaser shows us that the story is set in the urbanised, nearly first-world locales of West Hyderabad, with the male cast of the film bemoaning the torture women subject them to, while the female cast all but seem to represent 'modernity' and 'feminism.' The teaser alludes to women being the subject of punchlines and the butt of all jokes in this film, with the collective anguish of men against the ways of women taking centre stage, in the form of comedy. Naresh Agastya, who was seen last year in Prime Video’s Modern Love: Hyderabad and Panchatantram, is the protagonist of the film, along with seasoned character actor Brahmaji and comedian Harsha Chemudu playing key roles.
