We had earlier reported that Tharun Bhasker is helming a film titled Keeda Cola. The filmmaker, on Wednesday, announced that the feature will have eight main characters and unveiled that one of them is veteran actor Brahmanandam, on the occasion of the actor’s birthday.

Billed to be a crime comedy, the team has finished most of its shooting and is set for a summer release this year. The film will mark the third directorial venture of Tharun after Pelli Choopulu (2016) and Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi (2018), besides helming a segment in Pitta Kathalu (2021).

Announcing on social media, Tharun revealed that there will no “heroes or heroines” in the film and introduced Brahmanandam being part of the cast. “The pressure of working with a star was becoming a burden & I didn’t want to fall prey to that. This is a crime comedy and say it with me - who’s the star of comedy ? The OG meme god ? Re-Introducing Mr.Brahmi ! Like never before,” wrote the director.

Brahmanandam will essay the role of Varadha Raju, a mean old grandfather who is wheelchair-bound with a disposable urine attachment, and whose "only superpower is sarcasm".
