We had recently reported the makers of the Manchu Vishnu starrer Kannappa have zeroed in on New Zealand as a location for their shoot. The makers of the film have confirmed on Saturday that they have wrapped a 90-day long film schedule, their first.
The official statement reads as follows. "90-day 1st schedule shoot for Vishnu Manchu's dream project Kannappa in New Zealand has just wrapped up. A team of 600 talented actors and technicians from New Zealand, Thailand and India took part. With the blessings of Lord Shiva and Shirdi Sainath, the team is now heading back to India after filming in the stunning landscapes of New Zealand." The statement is attached with a photo of actor Mohan Babu relaxing in the Kiwi countryside, presumably during shoot.
Kannappa also stars Mohanlal and Sarathkumar in important roles. Nupur Sanon, who was seen in Tiger Nageswara Rao, was supposed to be a part of the project but she has recently left it. Prabhas, whose film Salaar is currently running in theatres, will be making a special appearance in the film. Kannappa is produced by 24 Frames Factory and Ava Entertainment.
