Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi's Thandel begins filming

The makers of Thandel, Chandoo Mondeti’s upcoming film, have announced that they have commenced regular shooting on Wednesday in Udupi. The team will be shooting an important, lengthy schedule in a beach town where talkie portions will be shot with the entire principal cast. On Wednesday, an action sequence featuring Naga Chaitanya and a host of fighters was shot at the famous Malpe Fort in Udupi. 

Naga Chaitanya will be playing a fisherman in the film. He will be sporting a rugged, muscular look in the film, with long hair and a beard. Sai Pallavi has been roped in to play the film's female lead. The actor duo has previously worked together in the 2021 Sekhar Kammula film Love Story

Thandel is a survival thriller based on a set of real-life incidents that took place in Srikakulam in 2018. Allu Aravind is presenting the film under the Geetha Arts banner. Bunny Vasu is the film's producer. Devi Sri Prasad is the music composer of the film, with cinematography by Shamdat and production design by Sri Nagendra Tangala.
