We had earlier reported that Bubblegum, Ravikanth Perepu’s upcoming film, is scheduled to release on December 29. The makers of the film announced on Wednesday that they have officially wrapped shooting for the same. Bubblegum stars newcomers Roshan Kanakala and Maanasa Choudhary. To the uninitiated, Roshan is the son of actor Rajeev Kanakala and Television presenter Suma Kanakala. Harsha Chemudu, Kiran Macha, Annanyaa Akula, Harshvardhan, Anu Hasan, Chaitu Jonnalagadda and Bindu Chandramouli form the film's supporting cast.

Bubblegum revolves around the life of a street-smart working-class guy (Roshan Kanakala) whose life nosedives into crime after falling in love with a rich girl. This is Ravikanth’s third film as a director, after Kshanam (2016) and Krishna and His Leela (2020). He is also an editor, having worked as one in the recently released Month of Madhu.

Bubblegum is jointly produced by People Media Factory and Maheshwari Movies. Ravikanth’s frequent collaborator Sricharan Pakala will be composing the film’s music, with cinematography by Suresh Rugutu, editing by Nishad Yusuf and production design by Vithal Kosanam. Bubblegum will be competing with Kalyanram Nandamuri’s Devil in the box office, with the makers of the latter declaring December 29 as the film’s release date.
