We have previously announced that Operation Valentine, a Hindi-Telugu action entertainer starring Varun Tej and Manushi Chillar, will be released on December 8. With the makers reneging on the originally scheduled date, they announced on Monday that their film will now be hitting theatres on February 16, 2024. Varun Tej will be playing the role of an Air Force pilot in the film, while Manushi Chillar (in her Telugu debut) will be seen in the role of a radar officer. 

Operation Valentine, written and directed by Shakti Pratap Singh Hada, is billed as a patriotic, edge-of-the-seat thriller, which will also double up as a showcase of the bravery and spirit displayed by our Air Force officers. Shakti, an ad director, will be making his directorial debut with Operation Valentine. He has written the film along with Aamir Khan and Siddharth Raj Kumar. The film is produced by Sony Pictures International. Sony also produced Adivi Sesh's Major, a biopic of the slain Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, last year.

Varun Tej appeared in Praveen Sattaru’s environmental espionage thriller Gandheevadhari Arjuna opposite Sakshi Vaidya, earlier this year. On the personal front, he has married his longtime girlfriend, fellow actor Lavanya Tripathi in a private ceremony in Italy this year. Former beauty queen Manushi Chillar, who made her debut opposite Akshay Kumar in Samrat Prithviraj, was seen in The Great Indian Family opposite Vicky Kaushal this year.
