Bedurulanka 2012, the Telugu film, which released on Friday, collected Rs 1.7 crore worldwide on its first day of release.

Directed by debutant Clax, the cast of the film includes Kartikeya Gummakonda, Neha Sshetty, Ajay Ghosh, Goparaju Ramana, Rajkumar Kasireddy.

The film is set in Yedurulanka at the time when paranoia about the end of the world affects people, while changing the dynamics of their morality and fear. “Bedrulanka 2012 is not a film about a plot (there isn't much) or characters (who don't offer anything new). It concerns itself with the larger follies of human nature,” reads CE review of the film.

It is produced by Ravindra Benerjee Muppaneni under the banner Loukya Entertainments. Mani Sharma is the music director of the film, with cinematography by Sai Prakash Ummasidugu and Sunny Kurapati, editing by Viplav Nyshadam and production design by Sudheer Macharla.
