After the success of Balagam, Dil Raju Productions announced their next film Akasham Dhaati Vasthava and unveiled the teaser for the same. The film, a romantic drama, stars Yash and Karthika Muraleedharan in the lead roles. Akasham Dhaati Vasthava is written and directed by Sasi Kumar Muthuluri. Sasi has worked as an assistant director for the 2012 film Denikaina Ready, in addition to directing shorts like Muhurtham, Adhyayam and Surajyam. US-based Karthika Muraleedharan, who has previously acted in Malayalam films like CIA and Uncle, will be making her Telugu debut with Akasham Dhaati Vasthava. 

The two-minute teaser reveals that Akasham Dhaati Vasthava is a love story set against a road trip backdrop, in addition to a corporate workspace background in Bangalore. Karthik is the music director of the film, with cinematography by Rampy Nandigam, editing by Madhu and production design by Gandhi Nadikudigar. Akasham Dhaati Vasthava is produced by Hanshitha Reddy and Harshith Reddy. The makers are yet to announce the film's release date. 

The Dil Raju Productions banner, an offshoot of Dil Raju's Sree Venkateshwara Creations banner has been instituted to support and facilitate new and emerging talent in cinema. Balagam was their feature film debut.
