The makers of Dhamaka, starring Ravi Teja and directed by Thrinadha Rao Nakkina, have unveiled the teaser and the release date of the film on Friday. The film will be releasing in theatres on December 23.

Although the one-minute-long promo barely hints at the storyline, it promises a masala-laden action entertainer filled with comedy, romance and filmy dialogues. The promo ends with Ravi Teja warning a baddie, "If you shoot a bullet from your side, you will receive a Deepavali from my side."

The film stars Sreeleela of Pelli SandaD-fame as the female lead and she makes her presence felt in the promo with a brief appearance. Jayaram, who seems to be playing a violent character in the film, is briefly shown stabbing a person with a sharp object in the neck.

The film's supporting cast includes Sachin Khedekar, Tanikella Bharani, Rao Ramesh, Chirag Jani, Ali, and Praveen, among others. Dhamaka also seems to be a detour for Thrinadha Rao from his light-hearted comedies such as Cinema Choopistha Maava, Nenu Local and Hello Guru Prema Kosame.

Dhamaka has music by Bheems Ceciroleo and cinematography by Karthik Gattamneni.
