Kantara Telugu version collects Rs 11.5 crore in 2 days

The film is directed by Rishab Shetty, who also stars in the lead role

Kantara, the recently released Kannada film, is witnessing a spectacular theatrical run, upon which the film is being dubbed in several languages like Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu. The Telugu version of the film was released on October 14 and minted Rs 11.5 crore in two days worldwide, with day 2 collecting Rs 6.5 crore. 

One of the highest-grossing Kannada films this year, Kantara is written and directed by Rishab Shetty. Produced by Hombale Films, Kantara tells the story of the conflict between the people of the soil and those in authority over the land. The conflict of the film entwines the local Bhoota Kola tradition with the narrative. 

The film, which stars Rishab in the lead, also features Kishore, Achyuth Kumar, Sapthami Gowda, among others. With music by Ajaneesh Loknath, the film's cinematography is by Arvind Kashyap.

Kantara received appreciation from all over the industry and is currently running in theatres.
