An update on Salaar film is expected to arrive on Sunday. Salaar stars Prabhas in the lead role, and is directed by Prashanth Neel. 

It is to be noted that though the makers have remained tight-lipped about the update, speculations are rife that it might be the announcement of Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran joining the film, given it the latter's birthday on Sunday. If the news is true, this will be the first time Prithviraj is collaborating with Prabhas and Prashanth Neel. 

Salaar is produced by Hombale Films. It also stars Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Easwari Rao and Madhu Guruswamy in prominent roles. The film is set to release on September 28, 2023. 

Salaar has cinematography by Bhuvan Gowda, editing by Ujwal Kulkarni and music composed by Ravi Basrur.
