The makers of the pan-Indian film Project K extended birthday wishes to legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan.

In a tweet, Vyjayanthi Films, the film's production banner, wrote, "A powerhouse that has entertained for more than 5 decades! Can't wait to show the world the new avatar you've unleashed this time. Here's to the 80th & many more! May the force be with you always & you're the force behind us sir." The birthday wishes poster features a raised fist with the tagline 'Legends are immortal.'

Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film stars Prabhas and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles. The film is currently in production and is billed to be a sci-fi thriller. The buzz is that Prabhas and Amitabh will be seen as father and son in the film, while Deepika plays the latter's personal secretary.

Project K also reunites the Mahanati team of Nag Ashwin, cinematographer Dani Sanchez-Lopez and music director Mickey J Meyer. C Ashwini Dutt serves as the producer.
