After acquiring the remake rights of Malayalam blockbuster Lucifer, Ram Charan is reported to have bagged the rights for Mammootty-starrer Bheeshma Parvam. Ram Charan's father Chiranjeevi is most likely to star in the Telugu version.

The original directed by Amal Neerad is inspired by the Hollywood classic The Godfather and the Indian epic Mahabharatha. It is a gangster drama centered around a joint family with Mammootty playing the patriarch. Releasing in March this year, the film emerged as a huge success at the box office. An official announcement regarding the Telugu version is expected to be made soon.

Meanwhile, God Father, the Telugu remake of Lucifer, has hit screens today. Directed by Mohan Raja, the film also stars Nayanthara, Satyadev, Samuthirakani, and Puri Jagannadh. Salman Khan is also making his Telugu debut by essaying a cameo role.
