Venkatesh Maha to direct Balakrishna?

CE Features

Director Venkatesh Maha, who made an impactful debut with C/o Kancharapalem (2018), has bagged a biggie. If the reports in the showbiz are anything to go by, Venkatesh has landed an opportunity to direct Nandamuri Balakrishna in his next.

"Venkatesh has narrated a unique story to Balakrishna and got an instant approval from the actor. However, Balayya has suggested a few changes and the director is now busy incorporating them. The film comes as a slice-of-life drama and showcases Balayya in a new avatar," says a source.

The film is expected to go on floors soon after Balayya wraps up his next with Anil Ravipudi.

Meanwhile, Balakrishna will next be seen in Veera Simha Reddy. Directed by Gopichand Malineni, the action drama features Shruti Haasan as the leading lady and will be released during Sankranthi. Venkatesh, on the other hand, has last directed Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya (2020) and has recently played a cameo in Nani-starrer Ante Sundaraniki
