Director Rajamouli's RRR, which opened to positive reviews last Thursday, has now officially collected more than Rs 500 crore at the box office. The makers have released a new poster confirming the collection and according to sources, the film is inching towards the Rs 750 crore mark.

Interestingly, the  Ram Charan and Jr NTR-starrer collected Rs 223 crore on day 1 at the box office. This beats the record set by Baahubali 2 on day 1 and the domestic collection has also set a record. In comparison, the director's previous film, Baahubali 2, which happens to be one of India's top-grossing films, had collected Rs 217 crore on day 1 at the box office.

The music for RRR has been scored MM Keeravani. Other than Ram Charan and Jr NTR, the film stars Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, and Samuthirakani in pivotal roles.
