Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise becomes the first ever Indian album to cross 5 billion views on social media. With a star-studded cast that had Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil the success of the film was all but confirmed before its release. Even then, the film managed to exceed all expectations to become the highest-grossing Indian film in 2021. It currently ranks among the highest-ranking Telugu films of all time. Devi Sri Prasad composed all the songs for the Telugu action drama.

Now, Pushpa: The Rise breaks yet another record by collectively gathering a jaw-dropping 5 billion views for its album. The music video for almost all the songs in the album went viral when they were released online.

Even after a year of its release, the movie is still gathering positive reactions from all over social media. The film, originally released in Telugu before being dubbed into other Indian languages, seems to have broken all cultural barriers to become a pan-Indian success. Directed by Sukumar, the film had Allu Arjun playing the titular Pushpa while Fahad Faasil played the antagonist. The sequel to the widely successful film, titled Pushpa: The Rule, is currently under production and is scheduled to release in December 2022.
