We had earlier reported that actor Mahesh Babu will be joining hands with filmmaker Trikvikram Srinivas. However, the new update is that the upcoming Telugu film, tentatively titled SSMB28, is set to hit the big screens for summer 2023, the makers announced on social media on Saturday.

The film is currently in pre-production stages and will go on floors from August. The film was launched in February this year.

Pooja Hegde, who is cast opposite Mahesh Babu, wrote on Twitter, while sharing the update, “The Evergreen Combo is back to REIGN! The most eagerly awaited #SSMB28 pre-production has started on EPIC proportions! Shoot starts This Aug Be Ready for a MASSive Blast at the Screens  Summer 2023!”

The upcoming film will be the third time Mahesh Babu is working under Trivikram’s directorial, after Athadu and Khaleja.  The film is bankrolled by Haarika & Hassine Creations.

The film’s technical crew consists of S Thaman on the music, Naveen Nooli as the editor and PS Vinod handling the cinematography.
