CE Features

Following the success of Pushpa-The Rise, starring Allu Arjun, the makers are gearing up for its second installment Pushpa-The Rule. While the film already features a host of known faces such as Fahadh Faasil, Rashmika Mandanna, among others, it is now reported that actor Vijay Sethupathi will be playing the antagonist in the second part.

The second part of Pushpa follows the events in the life of Pushpa Raj (Allu Arjun), who steadily climbed the ladder of the red sanders smuggling. The first part ends with Pushpa forming a powerful syndicate of red sanders smuggling, and locking horns with the newly appointed police officer played by Fahadh Faasil, who will be the antagonist in the sequel.

Now, according to media reports, it is said that Vijay Sethupathi will be playing the antagonist in the second part. While it is reported that the actor was initially approached to play a crucial role of a forest officer in the first part, he had to opt out due to time issues. However, for the sequel, the makers have approached Vijay Sethupathi again and it is likely that he will be seen sharing screen space with Allu Arjun. It is now expected that there will be a showdown between the characters of Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil and Vijay Sethupathi. It is to be noted that Vijay Sethupathi is not new playing the villain for Telugu audience. The actor has previously played antagonist father in Uppena, while he portrayed the antagonist in Vikram and Master.

Pushpa is directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers. The first part released in December 2021 and proved to be a box office success.
