A week after the makers of RRR revealed that they were planning to release the action spectacle in theatres either on March 18 or April 28, subject to Covid regulations across the nation, a new release date has now been announced. The SS Rajamouli directorial will be hitting screens on March 25, it was announced through the film's official social media accounts.

Interestingly, it was announced earlier today that Sivakarthikeyan's Tamil film Don will be releasing in theatres on the same date. Moreover, both films will be distributed by Lyca Productions in Tamil Nadu.

Starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan in the lead roles, the film was set to release in theatres on January 7th but was pushed due to the resurgence of Covid infections and the consequential restrictions that came into place.

RRR is produced by DVV Danayya, and the story for the film is by KV Vijayendra Prasad. The music for the project is composed by MM Keeravani with cinematography by KK Senthil Kumar. The film also stars Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, Samuthirakani among others in pivotal roles.
