Adivi Sesh-starrer Major has been postponed due to Covid

The release of Major starring Adivi Sesh in the lead role has been postponed due to the new regulations regarding curfews and restrictions that have been announced. In official press statement, the makers of the film said, "Given the current situation around the pandemic, we have decided to postpone the release of our film Major considering the best interests of everyone. Our film is a heartfelt tribute to a man who sacrificed his life for the nation. Honouring the spirit of his life and putting the safety and interest of the nation first, we have decided to release at a safer and more conducive time."

They also made the announcement on their social media handles. The film based on the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan was supposed to be released on February 11. It will portray his dedication, courage, sacrifices, and spirit of life. Having curated an experience for the big screens, the makers have decided to postpone the release of the film until further ease in the pandemic situation.

Recently the makers of the film released lyrical videos of their first song in Telugu and Malayalam titled Hrudayama and Pon Malare respectively. The song is a romantic number which presents the refreshing chemistry between Adivi Sesh and Saiee Manjrekar.

The trailer of the film was also released by the makers recently and it also offers an insight into the life of the Major.

Major is produced by Sony Pictures Films India in association with Mahesh Babu's GMB Entertainment and A+S Movies. The Adivi Sesh-starrer is directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka. The film also stars Sobhita Dhulipala, Saiee Manjrekar, Prakash Raj, Revathi and Murali Sharma and will be released in Hindi, Telugu and Malayalam.
