Makers of Ram Charan and Jr NTR-starrer RRR have released a statement in which they reveal that they are ready to release the film on March 18 if the situation surrounding the rising case of Covid improves in the country. The makers clearly want theaters to be fully operational before they are ready to release the magnum opus on screen.

They reveal that if the situation doesn’t improve by March, they have another date for a possible release and that is April 28. The film directed by SS Rajamouli was originally scheduled to release on January 7. However, due to lock down in major cities and theaters being restricted to 50% occupancy, the film’s producers decided to postpone the release.

RRR is produced by DVV Danayya, and the story for the film is by KV Vijayendra Prasad. The music for the project is composed by MM Keeravani with cinematography by KK Senthil Kumar. The film also stars Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, Samuthirakani among others in pivotal roles.
