We had previously reported that actor Mahesh Babu and Trivikram are teaming up for a film. The makers of the film, tentatively titled SSMB 28, have now officially announced the release date of the project.

The film is scheduled to hit the screens on 28 April 2023. The makers made the announcement with a video, calling it a "massive and epic blast at the screens". Earlier, the team had announced that the film will go on floors this month but they haven't started shooting the film yet.

The film, which will star Pooja Hegde as the female lead, will be the third time Mahesh Babu is working under Trivikram’s directorial, after Athadu and Khaleja. The film is bankrolled by Haarika & Hassine Creations.

The film’s technical crew consists of S Thaman on the music, Naveen Nooli as the editor and PS Vinod handling the cinematography.
