Dulquer Salmaan's Sita Ramam collects 25 crores in first weekend

Sita Ramam, the romantic period drama starring Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur, grossed 25 crores worldwide during the first weekend, the makers announced on Monday.

Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, the film released on August 5. According to the makers, the film reported housefull in all areas on Saturday and Sunday and extra theatres were added later. Trade experts predict the film will have an extended run at the box office.

Sita Ramam, which is set between the 60s and 80s, also stars actors from various industries, including Rashmika Mandanna, Gautham Menon, Tharun Bhascker, Sumanth and Bhumika Chawla, among others.

The technical crew consists of cinematography by PS Vinod, music composer Vishal Chandrashekhar and editor Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao. Sita Ramam was made simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam.
