Filmmaker Puri Jagannadh to play a role in Chiranjeevi's Godfather

Director Puri Jagannadh, who is awaiting the release of Liger, has been roped in to play a role in megastar Chiranjeevi's much-awaited film Godfather.

Chiranjeevi took to his official Twitter handle to announce the news. He shared a photo with Jagannadh and wrote, "An aspiring actor from a place called Narsipatnam came to Hyderabad in search of his destiny in the movie industry. He didn't shine as an actor, but his destiny made him a director."

"I don't like that he cannot fulfil his acting dream. I hereby, introduce Puri Jagannadh in a special role, from the sets of #Godfather."

Godfather is an official adaptation of the Mohanlal-starring Malayalam political thriller Lucifer. The film shows Chiru as a powerful politician, while Nayanthara plays his sister. Bollywood star Salman Khan is stepping into the shoes of Prithviraj Sukumaran.

Directed by Mohan Raja and produced by Konidela Production Company and Super Good Films, Godfather also stars Satyadev Kancharana, Harish Uthaman, Jayaprakash, and Vamsi Krishna.
