Telugu star Chiranjeevi has resumed the shooting for Mohan Raja's Godfather, the Telugu remake of Malayalam hit Lucifer. "Team #GodFather starts shoot in Ooty today," tweeted the production house Konidela Pro Company.

The film, which was announced on Chiranjeevi's birthday (August 22), went on floors the same month in Hyderabad. Now, the makers have begun the second schedule of the film.

Lucifer, directed by Prithviraj, had Mohanlal in the lead role. Chiranjeevi will be reprising the role in the Telugu version. While Lucifer had Manju Warrier, Vivek Oberoi, and Tovino Thomas in the prominent roles, the makers of Godfather are yet to announce the other cast members of the upcoming film.

On the other hand, it was earlier announced that Godfather will have Nirav Shah as the cinematographer and S Thaman as the composer.
