SS Rajamouli's RRR release postponed indefinitely

SS Rajamouli's much-awaited film RRR has been indefinitely postponed again. The film was earlier slated to hit screens on October 13.

The official Twitter handle of the film announced the news on Twitter stating that the decision was made in consideration of the partial or complete shutdown of the theatres across the world due to the pandemic. The tweet further read that the team cannot reveal a new release date yet and that the film will hit screens when the world cinema markets are up and running.

Starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan, RRR is set in the pre-independence era of the 1920s, with the actors playing freedom fighters Komarum Bheem and Alluri Sitarama Raju, respectively. The core idea of RRR is inspired by the Hollywood film, The Motorcycle Diaries

Produced by DVV Danayya at an estimated budget of Rs 450 crore, the film also features Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran, and Samuthirakani in prominent roles.
