Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has written a heartfelt post on his personal blog about Kayilae Aagasam, a song from Suriya-starrer, Soorarai Pottru. In the post, Amitabh has shared that the song left him emotional, and on the verge of tears.

"A song... a Tamil song from a Suriya film... Suriya the superstar of the South," Amitabh wrote. "The moment is heartbreaking in the film as can be seen in the video, but yesterday it was put in a different context... more real... and it has made it simply uncontrollable for me stop the tears."

The actor also translated the lyrics of the song into English, and shared, "the song is so beautiful, so sonorous, so fluid and so touching the heart .. ahh .. just mentioning it stirs the emotions."

Responding to Amitabh's post, 2D Entertainment, the production house behind the Tamil film, wrote:

Inspired by the life of Captain GR Gopinath, Soorarai Pottru was met with positive critical reception upon its release last year. It was recently announced that Suriya, who also produced the Tamil film, will be bankrolling the film's Hindi remake, with filmmaker Sudha Kongara set to direct once again.

Meanwhile, Amitabh was recently seen in Chehre.
