Allu Arjun's Pushpa The Rise: Part 1 release date announced

Directed by Sukumar, the film also features Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil and Sunil in the lead roles

Allu Arjun's much-awaited pan-Indian film Pushpa's first part, Pushpa The Rise: Part 1, will release on December 17

The film's official Twitter handle posted the news.

Set in the backdrop of Seshachalam forest, Pushpa tells the story of the red sander smugglers and their nexus to illegally transport the forest produce.

Directed by Sukumar, the film features Rashmika Mandanna as the leading lady, with Fahadh Faasil and Sunil playing the antagonists. Earlier in May, when the makers announced that Pushpa will be released in two parts, it was reported that the second instalment will hit screens in the summer of 2022.

Pushpa: The Rise is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers. The film has music by Devi Sri Prasad and cinematography by Mirosław Kuba Brożek. 

The film will release simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.
