As CJP continues to organise demonstrations against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, Mumbai Police has now begun detentions at many locations across the city, including August Kranti Maidan which drew most number of protesters. One of the hundreds to be detained is actor Imran Khan.

Mumbai Police detained Imran on Saturday evening. Many videos have surfaced online, where Imran can be seen being dragged away to the Police vans, even as media tries to interact with him. A little later, Imran shared an Instagram post from the Police Van with a cheeky caption, "Apparently, I am going for a drive."

Meanwhile, Imran could be seen talking to ANI where he stated, “I don't have demands. I am here as a citizen. As a person who lives in this city, I am here to see why freedom of movement is being restricted, why are people's voices being suppressed. That is why I am here. I am not in a position to make demands of anyone. Nor am I part of any organization. I am just here as a representative."
