Regina Cassandra, Nivetha Thomas' upcoming Telugu actioner has been titled Saakini Dhaakini. An official remake of Korean film, Midnight Runners, the film is helmed by Sudheer Varma. 

The makers announced the title to mark the occasion of Nivetha's birthday. The shooting of the film has been wrapped up, and the post-production work is currently underway. Saakini Dhaakini, billed as an investigative thriller, is expected to be released before Sankranthi 2022. 

Midnight Runners is about two students at a police academy and how they bust a gang of human traffickers. Unlike the original, which featured two male actors in the lead, the Telugu remake will feature Regina and Nivetha in the lead. 

The film will be bankrolled by Suresh Productions.
