The upcoming Telugu romantic-comedy, Paagal, featuring Vishwak Sen in the lead role, has locked its release date. The Naressh Kuppili directorial will be releasing on August 14. The film stars Simran Choudary and Nivetha Pethuraj as female leads.

The  Falaknuma Das actor took to Instagram to announce the release date. While sharing a new poster of the film, Vishwak wrote, "Let’s become Paagal on August 14th in theatres."

The announcement makes Paagal one of the first major Telugu films to hit screens after theatres were shut down in the wake of Covid-19 resurgence in April. It's the third major Telugu film to release after Thimmarusu and SR Kalyanamandapam.

Apart from Paagal, Vishwak Sen also has the Telugu remake of Tamil romantic entertainer Oh My Kadavule. He will be stepping into the shoes of Ashok Selvan in the film directed by Ashwath Marimuthu.
