Dino Morea: Agent's story revolves around Mammootty sir, Akhil and me

Actor Dino Morea, known for Hindi films like Raaz, Gunaah  Baaz: A Bird in Danger, Sssshhh..., Rakht and Acid Factory, is all set to make his Telugu debut with Agent in a prominent negative role.

Ahead of the film's release, speaking to CE, he says that he has been yearning to be part of such a promising film for a long time. “In this film, I play a character who calls himself God. He is an agent trained by Mahadev, played by Mammootty Sir. He is extremely skilled and comes with experience. So Agent is a story revolving around three characters--Mammooty sir, Akhil and me. God is evil and unstable."

While Agent is his first film in Telugu, Dino had previously worked in Tamil films Kandukondain Kandukondain, Solo and Kannada film Julie. Interestingly, through Agent, Morea will be reuniting with Mammootty after playing a brief role in Rajiv Menon’s Kandukondain Kandukondain (Priyuralu Pilichindi in Telugu).

“We share more screen space in Agent. I am so inspired by how fit he keeps himself, at his age. Cinema is a visual medium, it is very important to maintain your good looks," Dino says. About filming in domestic and international locations, Dino recalls working in different weather conditions. “My character wears four layers of clothing. It was all smooth sailing in Budapest, which was chilly. It was somewhat fine in the studios here in Hyderabad as well, because there is air conditioning. I felt a little hot but I could manage. And then we went to Oman, where I had to wear the same four layers of jackets while shooting in a desert (laughs). It was very sweaty.”

Speaking about the lull in his career, Dino observes that he decided to take a break as he got some bad scripts. Noting that it is essential for his project to be backed by a great story and a solid team, he says that after a while, he eventually started getting the roles he desired. "If you wish something wholeheartedly and put in your due efforts, you will get it someday, for sure." he signs off.
