Critics Choice Awards 2023: RRR and Naatu Naatu win big

In the run-up to the Oscars, this is the film's big follow-up to its success at the Golden Globes

The Critics' Choice Awards is an awards show presented annually by the American-Canadian Critics Choice Association to honor the finest in cinematic achievement. Apart from the two categories that RRR won, the film was also nominated in the Best Director and Best Visual Effects categories.  

In the Best Foreign Language category, RRR beat other nominees including All Quiet on the Western Front, Argentina, 1985 ,Bardo,False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths, Close,  and Decision to Leave.

The love for Naatu Naatu, which has lyrics penned by Chandrabose and sung by Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairavaa, continues to spread far and wide. The MM Keeravani number, choreographed by Prem Rakshith, muscled past tough nominees like Lift Me Up  from Black Panther: Wakanda ForeverCiao Papa from Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio, Hold My Hand  from Top Gun: Maverick, Carolina from Where the Crawdads Sing, and  New Body Rhumba from White Noise

RRR is a fictional story that revolves around two real-life Indian revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju (Charan) and Komaram Bheem (Jr NTR), and their fight against the British Raj.
