Actor Suriya, who was recently conferred with National Film Award, will be seen returning to Telugu film industry as the actor has signed a film with Siva. The film is expected to be a high-voltage action entertainer and will be backed by UV Creations.

Suriya was last seen in Telugu in Rakta Charitra 2 (2010).

"Suriya gave his final nod to Shiva and the duo is planning to take this film onto the sets either at the fag end of this year or early next year," says a source. It is also expected that Suriya will be playing dual roles in the film. "He will be seen as a modern and village-based character in the film," the source adds.

Besides Telugu, the film will also be released in Tamil and other regional languages.

Meanwhile, Suirya was last seen in a cameo appearance in Vikram. The actor, who is currently winning praises for his national win for Soorarai Pottru, will be also seen in Bala's Achaludu (Vanangaan in Tamil) and Vetri Maaran's Vaadi Vaasal.
