Pradeep Ranganathan seems to go through an overwhelming and tumultuous journey as he discovers love, loss and healing as Agan in the trailer of his next film, Dude. The trailer was unveiled by the makers on Thursday.

Mamitha Baiju plays Agan’s (Pradeep) ‘mama ponnu’ Kural, and both of them are event organisers. It is established that Agan has always been single and starts developing feelings for Kural, but Kural isn’t keen on pursuing a romantic relationship with him. From there, the trailer shows us several cuts of Agan going through love, loss and healing until he comes to a realisation about life. With Pradeep’s eccentricities and Mamitha channelling her Premalu side, the film’s trailer promises a hijinks-filled wacky ride.

Written and directed by Keerthiswaran, the film is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar, with Anil Yerneni serving as the co-producer. Mythri Movie Makers is the banner backing the film. Apart from Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha, the cast for the film includes R Sarath Kumar, Hridhu Haroon, Rohini, Aishwarya Sharma, and Dravid Selvam, among others.

Sai Abhyankkar makes his Tamil cinema debut as a composer with Dude. The rest of the crew of the film includes Niketh Bommi as the cinematographer, Barath Vikraman as the editor, Latha Naidu as the production designer, and Yannick Ben and Dinesh Subbarayan as the stunt choreographers.

With Love Insurance Kompany (LIK) postponing its release, Dude is the only film starring Pradeep Ranganathan in the lead to release on October 17. The makers of LIK announced that the film will release on December 18. Along with Dude, the films releasing on October 17 are Mari Selvaraj's Bison Kaalamaadan, the Harish Kalyan-starrer Diesel, Carmeni Selvam, and Kambi Katna Kathai.
