The first single for the upcoming film Thookudurai titled Thaaru Maaru Star has been released online. The film stars Yogi Babu in the lead along with an ensemble cast that includes Bala Saravanan, Namo Narayanan, Mahesh, Senrayan, and Ashwin.

Ineya will be playing the female lead in the film which also stars comedian Motta Rajendran in a pivotal role. Thookudurai is directed by Dennis Manjunath who had earlier made the 2021 Tamil film Trip which also starred Yogi Babu.

The music for the film is composed by KS Manoj while the lyrics for the songs have been penned by Mohan Rajan. The film is produced by Open Gate Pictures. 

While talking about the film to Cinema Express, director Dennis said, Thookudurai is about a royal family and the story captures their lives across three timelines. The film will also cover how the family influences the village and the lives of the villagers. Thookudurai will be high on comedy while also having sentimental portions.”
