Jiiva's Varalaru Mukkiyam trailer promises a colourful rom-com

The trailer of Jiiva's upcoming film Varalaru Mukkiyam got released on Sunday. From the 2.25-minute-long trailer, it looks like a typical rom-com with coloruful songs, plenty of adult jokes, and some action. Jiiva plays a carefree youngster in the film, while KS Ravikumar and Saranya Ponvannan essay the roles of his parents.

Directed by debutant Santhosh Rajan, Varalaru Mukkiyam is backed by Jiiva's home banner Super Good Films. The film also stars Kashmira Pardeshi, Pragya Nagara, Viji Rathish, VTV Ganesh, Siddique, Shara, TSK, E Ramados, Lollu Sabha Swaminathan, Motta Rajendran, Lollu Saba Manohar, Kaali Rajkumar, Aadhirai, among others.

Varalaru Mukkiyam has music by Shaan Rahman, who predominantly works in Malayalam cinema. The other technical crew members include cinematographer Sakthi Saravanan and editor Srikanth NB. The film is set to release in theatres on December 9.

Jiiva, last seen in Coffee With Kadhal, also has the commercial entertainer Golmaal in the making. The actor also has a film with lyricist-turned-filmmaker Pa Vijay.
