Rajinikanth unveils daughter Aishwaryaa's music video

Tamil superstar Rajinikanth took to social media to unveil Payani, a music video conceptualised and directed by his daughter and filmmaker Aishwaryaa. The music video marks Aishwarya's return to the director's chair. The last feature film directed by her is Vai Raja Vai, starring Gautham Karthik, Taapseeand Priya Anand, in 2015.

While sharing video on Twitter, Rajinikanth wrote, "Happy to release Payani, music single directed by my daughter Aishwaryaa, who is back to direction after a long gap of 9 years. I Wish you the very best always @ash_r_dhanush.. god bless... love you..."

Responding to the tweet, Aishwarya wrote, "Thank you appa. Love you to the moon and back!"

The Telugu version of the video, titled Sanchari, was released by Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun. While sharing the video, Mahesh Babu wrote, "Congratulations @ash_r_dhanush on your directorial comeback! Enjoyed every bit of the song!"

The Malayalam version, on the other hand, titled Yatrakkaran was released by Mohanlal, who wrote, "Happy to share Aishwarya Rajinikanth's comeback to musical direction after 9 years. Her latest single will be released in 4 languages and is titled in Malayalam. It is sung by Ranjith. Wish you the best, @ash_r_dhanush."

The song features vocals by Anirudh, and music by Ankit Tiwari, while Viveka has penned lyrics. The video stars Jani Master and Shrasti Verma.
