The much-anticipated teaser of Karthik Subbaraj's Mahaan, starring Vikram as the titular character, was unveiled today.

The two-minute-long teaser begins with glimpses from the protagonist's childhood (shot in black and white tone), when he is asked by his father (Aadukalam Naren) to fulfill the dreams of their ancestors and whether he would lead a noble life. Cut to his adult life, we see him indulge in brawls as he aims to climb the ladder to become the liquor kingpin.

The teaser forays into a rather subtle zone when the focus shifts towards a calmer Vikram post the halfway mark, hinting that film has more in store for the viewers in addition to action. Dhruv Vikram makes a quick appearance towards the end, when his name, Dada, is called out by a character.

The film also stars Simha, Simran, Sananth, and Muthukumar. With Music by Santhosh Narayanan and cinematography by Shreyaas Krishna, Mahaan is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on February 10.

The film has been bankrolled by Seven Screen Studio, the production house that's also producing another Vikram starrer, Cobra.
