After multiple delays in release, Trisha's Raangi is finally set to hit screens on December 30. Engeyum Eppothum-fame M Saravanan is directing the film, trailer of which got released on Friday. The film has Trisha playing a fierce journalist named Thaiyal Nayagi. While investigating an issue that affects her personal life, she ends up unravelling a larger conspiracy that takes her on a dangerous journey across boundaries. In the trailer, the actor is seen flexing her muscles and doing some action.

According to the makers, Raangi attempts a strong commentary on international politics by showcasing the power struggle between two nations. Director Saravanan's mentor AR Murugadoss has penned the film's story. It has music by C Sathya, a frequent collaborator of Saravanan who has composed for his earlier films Engeyum Eppothum and Ivan Vera Mathiri. The film is shot by cinematographer Shakthi.

Meanwhile, Trisha, who was last seen in epic period drama Ponniyin Selvan-1, has a few projects under production. She recently wrapped up with her web series Brinda and speculations are rife that she will be part of Vijay's Thalapathy67, which will be helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
