The makers of Karthi's Viruman have released a promo video of the new single Madura Veeran. The song, which has its lyrics written by Raju Murugan, is rendered by composer Yuvan Shankar Raja and lead actor Aditi Shankar. The latter is making her acting debut with the film.

Directed by Muthaiya, Viruman is billed as a rural-based mass entertainer set in Madurai. It is the director's second film with Karthi after Komban.

Viruman also stars Prakash Raj, Raj Kiran, Soori, Saranya Ponvannan, RK Suresh, Manoj and Vadivukkarasi. The film is set to hit screens worldwide on August 12. Ahead of the release, the makers are planning a grand audio and trailer launch in Madurai on Wednesday. 2D Entertainment, headed by Jyotika and Suriya, is producing the film.

Karthi, whose last release was Sulthan, also has Ponniyin Selvan and Sardar lined up.
