The makers of Sivakarthikeyan-starrer Doctor have released the trailer of their most-awaited film. The Nelson directorial is gearing up for a theatrical release on October 9.

Going by the trailer, the film is about a medical practitioner who rescues people from an organ mafia, with the aid of his gang, who impersonate to members of the same family.

Doctor marks the debut of Gang Leader-fame Priyanka Arul Mohan in Tamil cinema. It also features Vinay and Yogi Babu in prominent roles. The film has music by Anirudh Ravichander.

Doctor was initially scheduled to hit the screens earlier this year but got postponed due to the resurgence of the pandemic. Last month, amid rumours of an OTT release, the makers had clarified that the film will release in theatres in October.

Doctor is co-produced by KJR Studios and Sivakarthikeyan Productions.

Meanwhile, Sivakarthikeyan also has the long-delayed Ayalaan and Don in his pipeline, while Nelson is currently working on Beast, starring Vijay and Pooja Hegde.
