Annaatthe Trailer out: Rajinikanth as Kalaiyan is here to save the day and Keerthy Suresh

CE Features

The trailer of Rajinikanth's Annaatthe is here, and it is everything that will make his fans go into a frenzy.

Annaatthe, directed by Siva, marks the filmmaker's maiden collaboration with Rajinikanth. Siva last directed Ajith's Viswasam, which turned out to be a blockbuster. He has now teamed up with Rajinikanth for a similar rural entertainer.

We see Rajinikanth's Kalaiyan be the respected chieftain, the lovable brother, the chirpy "maaman/athaan", the vengeful vigilante, and more. Glimpses of others from the huge ensemble are also showcased in this 160-second trailer. There is a cheerful Keerthy Suresh, who, later runs into a lot of trouble in Kolkata. A menacing Jagapathy Babu, a loud and intense Prakash Raj, a suave and chilling Abhimanyu Singh are stacked opposite the might of our very own Kalaiyan. With Nayanthara sharing a warm joke and a half with Rajinikanth in the trailer, and the presence of veterans like Meena and Khushbu in the trailer, it is clear that we are in for a crackling festive treat.

The commercial entertainer also stars Robo Shankar, Soori, and Sathish in important roles. Billed to be a rural drama, it has Vetri and Ruben handling cinematography and editing, respectively. The film's music has been composed by National Award winner D Imman, and marks the composer's first collaboration with Rajinikanth.

The film will be released in theatres across the world on November 4 on the occasion of Diwali.
