The All India Suriya Fans Club held a meeting in Chennai on Saturday. The actor himself addressed his fans on the occasion. A clip featuring one of his speeches to fans has been going viral ever since the event took place. The clip shows Suriya telling his fans to ignore "foolish posts" about him on social networking platforms. Reportedly, the actor told them not to waste their energy by responding to such social media posts. He highlighted that some of those who spread such negativity would understand if his fans explain to them, but others would not have the same understanding.

In addition, the actor told his fans to take care of their families and spread only love among those who are part of their lives.

It is unclear whether Suriya was referring to something specific or whether his comments are part of a general observation about social media. The actor is fresh from back-to-back hits, Karuppu and Vishwanath and Sons, both of which earned more than 250 crore from theatres worldwide. However, there has also been some negativity around Vishwanath and Sons, with several fans calling it out for its lack of emotional depth, especially after the digital premiere of the film on Netflix. Even Karuppu faced some negativity after its OTT premiere.

Suriya's upcoming films include Scene, directed by Jithu Madhavan of Romancham and Aavesham fame. The upcoming film marks Jithu Madhavan's debut in Tamil cinema, and it also stars Naslen and Nazriya Nazim. According to unconfirmed speculation, Naslen plays the role of an antagonist in the upcoming film, which is slated for a November 06 release in theatres.

The actor is also set to reunite with his Jai Bhim director TJ Gnanavel for a film, co-starring Kayadu Lohar.
